True, but it's also likely to cause problems with people who don't
want that capability. Also, we already have the capability to enable/
disable "short" tags and this falls right into that catagory. I still
tend to think that this should (1) not be a default and (2) enabled
during runtime for maximum flexibility as well as minimal impact.

Looking forward to seeing the patch... there are other HTML editors
out there as well which mangle <? ?> but are "aware" of <% %> :) :)
