Good point, I just grabbed this as part of the merge form 3.x, but I had thought we dropped php-4 support a while ago with a bunch of commits Gopal made (but I don't see those in history on a brief grep).    There's only a couple places that reference ZEND_ENGINE_2, mostly in apc_bin.c which means it probably got removed from apc_compile.c and we didn't update apc_bin.c.

I think we should officially not support php-4.x, going forward in both the apc-3.x and apc-4.x branches any objections? If so I'll go clean-up a bunch of leftover bits in both. -shire
