What are you trying exactly? If you want your name on the package name, i think you need only to ask the lead dev he can add you to the dev list via a special interface :) (Or I'm completely wrong, that's why i'm putting de pecl-dev list on CC)The next release will automatically update the maintainers data in pecl.php.net using package.xml. In the meantime, the current lead(s) can add a maintainer manually.
