Hi,
Well something has effected mcrypt in what has been changed because it
doesn't even get past the configure stage with 4.1.2 (I did post this
via the NGs to dev list but it didn't seem to turn up)
checking for mcrypt support... yes
checking for mcrypt_module_open in -lmcrypt... no
checking for init_mcrypt in -lmcrypt... no
configure: error: Sorry
With the exact same install and config line it worked fine with a
patched 4.1.1
I'm not the only one to have experienced problems with mcrypt on 4.1.2
as others I have asked have had the same problems and I have had it on 3
servers.
I guess my point is that QA would have picked up on it (I know I would
have done as I use mcrypt).
Thanks,
Karl Austin

Nothing related to mcrypt was changed between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2
The set of changes were very close to just the file upload security bug
plus a couple of obvious crash bugs in ext/pspell, ext/session,
ext/mbstring, a fix to the cgi mm startup issue that has troubled a lot
of
people plus a Roxen SAPI fix.
