I'll go ahead and get some of the smaller things into this release if we'll be adding some more stuff. It makes sense to do it now, this being a major release and all.
Assuming those things are in too, I think we're good for a release. Except for one small detail. Thanks to php_compat.h, all the pcre_* calls are being renamed to php_pcre_* calls. But the php cli binary is missing those somehow? $ /opt/php53/bin/php -m | grep pcre pcre /opt/php53/bin/php -r '$matches = array(); \
          preg_match("/(?<name>\w+): (?<digit>\d+)/", "foobar: 2008", \
          $matches); print_r($matches);'
Array (
    [0] => foobar: 2008
    [name] => foobar
    [1] => foobar
    [digit] => 2008
    [2] => 2008
) $ strings /opt/php53/bin/php | grep php_pcre php_pcre_replace_impl php_pcre_grep_impl php_pcre_match_impl php_pcre_replace php_pcre_split_impl /home/gopalv/apc_debug/php_5_3/ext/pcre/php_pcre.c $ cat tests/iterator_005.out /opt/php53//bin/php: symbol lookup error: modules/apc.so: undefined symbol: php_pcre_exec Weird. I suspect some sort of mis-match between the bundled pcre and system pcre. This happens on my dev laptop, but on my RHEL4 desktop. I'm willing to make a release assuming it's a SNAFU on my box. Cheers, Gopal -- If I learn from my mistakes, pretty soon I'll know everything
