Hi, I'm trying to install PHP4 Beta 3 under Solaris 7 x86, I followed the instructions and everything went smooth until I tried to compile the httpd daemon. (Apache 1.3.6) What I did: # ./configure --prefix=/www --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a . . . (no problems reported here) # make (then after a while I get this:) gcc -DSOLARIS2=270 -I/export/home/emiliog/php-4.0b3 -I/export/home/emiliog/php-4.0b3/libzend -I/export/home/emiliog/php-4.0b3/libzend -I/export/home/emiliog/php-4.0b3 -DUSE_HSREGEX ./apaci \ -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/php4/libphp4.a modules/standard/libstandard.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a regex/libregex.a -Lmodules/php4 -L../modules/php4 -L../../modules/php4 -lmodphp4 -ldl -lgd -lm -lresolv -lnsl -lsocket -lcrypt -lpam -lsocket -lnsl ld: fatal: symbol `gdImageColorResolve' is multiply defined: (file modules/php4/libphp4.a(gd.o) and file /usr/local/lib/libgd.a(gd.o)); ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to httpd collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [target_static] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/export/home/emiliog/apache_1.3.6/src' make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/export/home/emiliog/apache_1.3.6' make: *** [build] Error 2 Does anybody knows why the symbol `gdImageColorResolve' is multiply defined? Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. _________________________________________________ Emilio Gutierrez Aguirre SuPlaza (8) 336 2680 www.suplaza.com.mx
