ID: 15943 Updated by: hz11@nyu.edu Reported By: hz11@nyu.edu -Status: Feedback +Status: Open Bug Type: Scripting Engine problem Operating System: FreeBSD PHP Version: 4.1.2 New Comment: I'm unable to test the latest snapshot, but I can say that the problem still occurs with a fresh 4.2.1 compile from source. If output_buffering is commented out from php.ini, .phps files work fine. Hans Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-18 17:15:07] sniper@php.net Derick meant this snapshot: http://snaps.php.net/php4-latest.tar.gz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-18 06:48:08] derick@php.net Is this still a problem with the lastest non-stable snapshot from snaps.php.net ? Derick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-03-11 19:56:42] hz11@nyu.edu I've found which php.ini directive is the culprit here. output_buffering = 4096 If this is set to Off, there are no problems. Just some added info. Maybe someone could elaborate on why this happens, and if there is a work around? Thanks, Hans ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-03-07 21:40:48] hz11@nyu.edu I could some more details? For one, why it should be removed, and two what in the php.ini file breaks the .phps functionality? Using .phps is very useful.. I would think only having show_source() would be clunky, as you'd need another script to just display others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-03-07 21:36:31] yohgaki@php.net This is known issue but I don't know if this is reported. I think phps feature should be removed. (Thoes who know issues understand why :) Use show_source() instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
