This is not really a bug but i did not know where to put it:

We use the ldap module very much only when building functions to search
recursive groups for authorization applications get slower and slower.
This is because for every group you have to fetch the uniquemembers
attribute to compare it with the user his dn to see if he is a member.
This set's a load on php, and ldap. I thought that there was a default
commant for ldap that returns weather there is a recursive membership
or not and is much faster because it's handled on the ldap server. Will
there come a PHP function that uses this ldap function?

regards,

Didier
