ID: 18010 Updated by: sniper@php.net Reported By: dave_bachtel@yahoo.com -Status: Open +Status: Bogus Bug Type: MySQL related Operating System: PHP=FreeBSD/Apache mySQL=WinXP PHP Version: 4.2.1 New Comment: It's not likely to be any bug in PHP. Propably some misconfiguration, etc. Better ask mysql folks anyway. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-28 01:54:12] dave_bachtel@yahoo.com Ok, changed to a different SQL server (same one hosting the php) and I had no problems. Still any idea of what was causing that? Could be XP? -dave- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-27 02:24:24] dave_bachtel@yahoo.com Ok, this works: $result = mysql_query("select server from ftpsearch where fullurl like '$query'"); The following queries do not work: 1.) $result = mysql_query("select server, fullurl from ftpsearch where fullurl like '$query'"); 2.) $result = mysql_query("select * from ftpsearch where fullurl like '$query'"); Basically, any request asking for multiple columns to be return fails miserably. Both of these statements work fine when using the mysql.exe client, so I know they are syntactically correct. When two or more colums are requested, it hangs. Not even the html at the top of the page is displayed. The server running PHP is hosted remotely, I have no access to it. The server running mySQL is with me, so I can modify and change it if necessary. Thx, -dave- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18010&edit=1
