From: info@fitnesswelt.com Operating system: Suse Linux PHP version: 4.1.2 PHP Bug Type: MySQL related Bug description: mysql_db_query - insert returns wrong status At our website we insert some datasets into tables and ask if it was successfull or not in this manner: $query = "insert into ...."; if (mysql_db_query("my_database",$query) == FALSE){ echo "error save data: " . mysql_error(); } else {.... But since we have updated to version 4.1.2 - we always get this status although the dataset is saved well. This behaviour is in all our insert queries, I didn't chek if other kind of SQL-statements have the same behaviour. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18106&edit=1 -- Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18106&r=globals
