#46125 [NEW]: SOAPClient will not work on Vista with host name

From: krisgg at hotmail dot com Operating system: Windows Vista Business PHP version: 5.2.6 PHP Bug Type: SOAP related Bug description: SOAPClient will not work on Vista with host name Description: ------------ When I instantiate SOAPClient with the following, the soap client times out: http://hostname:8080/service.php?WSDL http://localhost:8080/service.php?WSDL When I do it with the IP as part of the url it works: http://127.0.0.1:8080/webdecode_service.php?WSDL http://196.27.6.23:8080/webdecode_service.php?WSDL This was not an issue in Windows XP. I am thinking that the problem has to do with the ipv6 protocol that when pinged returns ip in the form of fe80::640c:2041:aea0:f210%10, but even if I turn it off when I do a ping I get something of the form 2002:8648:620::8648:620.
