ID: 18190 Updated by: sniper@php.net Reported By: i3dmaster@hotmail.com -Status: Open +Status: Bogus Bug Type: Compile Failure Operating System: suse linux 7.3 PHP Version: 4CVS-2002-07-05 New Comment: Odd that you can even get to compile..since the configure _should_ break if you try to compile the HEAD of PHP with apache 2.0.39... Anyway, you need the latest CVS head of Apache 2 too. (apache 2.0.40) Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-06 02:09:43] rasmus@php.net Very few people use Apache2+PHP and hence it really doesn't rank very high on the priority list. Someone will eventually get to it, but until there is a real technical reason to focus on Apache2, I doubt you will see much of a push in that direction. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-06 01:54:40] phpbug@pwhite.mailhaven.com Mistake in my previous comment: "all right before doing" -> "all right after doing", meaning that I was using the most up-to-the-minute sources every time I tried to compile PHP over the last 4 days. The problem may have existed previously, but 4 days ago was the first time I tried to compile PHP from CVS in the last month. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-06 01:52:07] phpbug@pwhite.mailhaven.com This problem has been happening on my RedHat 7.3 with Apache 2.0.39 for the last several day now, all right before doing a "cvs update". I am very surprised that such a blocker bug has been allowed to exist for so long. For reference, here is my configure line: ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-zlib --with-bz2 --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-05 17:30:27] i3dmaster@hotmail.com /bin/sh libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -Isapi/apache2filter/ -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/ -DPHP_ATOM_INC -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/include -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/main -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2 -I/usr/local/apache2/include -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/Zend -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/ext/xml/expat -I/root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/TSRM -g -O2 -prefer-pic -c /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c -o sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.lo /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c: In function `php_register_hook': /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c:567: incompatible type for argument 3 of `ap_register_output_filter' /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c:567: too many arguments to function `ap_register_output_filter' /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c:568: incompatible type for argument 3 of `ap_register_input_filter' /root/php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2/sapi/apache2filter/sapi_apache2.c:568: too many arguments to function `ap_register_input_filter' ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18190&edit=1
