"The value to be serialized. serialize() handles all types, except the
resource-type. ..."
-> There is no information to store resources as an integer value

wddx_serialize_value
Reproduce code:
---------------
$value = fopen(__FILE__, 'rb');
var_dump(serialize($value));
var_dump(wddx_serialize_value($value));
Expected result:
----------------
FALSE and PHP-Notice-Message for both serialize calls
Actual result:
--------------
string(4) "i:0;"
string(61) "<wddxPacket
version='1.0'><header/><data></data></wddxPacket>"
