From: major at minet dot sk Operating system: Vista 32bit PHP version: 5.3.0 PHP Bug Type: XML Writer Bug description: XMLWriter::openURI() cannot resolve file path containing slash Description: ------------ When I try to write content of xml file using XMLWriter, it works fine _only_ if xml file is in the same directory as php script. When path contains slash or backslash, it is unable to open file. My code works on 5.2.9 but fails when running on 5.3.0 (I use WampServer). Reproduce code: --------------- <?php $x = new XMLWriter(); $x->openURI('data/file.xml'); $x->startDocument('1.0', 'UTF-8'); $x->writeElement('root'); $x->endDocument(); print '<plaintext>'.file_get_contents('data/file.xml'); ?> Expected result: ---------------- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <root/> Actual result: -------------- Warning: XMLWriter::openUri() [xmlwriter.openuri]: Unable to resolve file path in C:\localhost\www\xml.php on line 3 Warning: XMLWriter::startDocument() [xmlwriter.startdocument]: Invalid or unitialized XMLWriter object in C:\localhost\www\xml.php on line 4 Warning: XMLWriter::writeElement() [xmlwriter.writeelement]: Invalid or unitialized XMLWriter object in C:\localhost\www\xml.php on line 5 Warning: XMLWriter::endDocument() [xmlwriter.enddocument]: Invalid or unitialized XMLWriter object in C:\localhost\www\xml.php on line 6 -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=49051&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=trysnapshot52 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in SVN: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=needdocs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=php4 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=49051&r=mysqlcfg
