I believe this bug is STILL present in 5.3.0 as I had a script that ran
for a while then started generating numbers it had generated before. Can
anybody confirm?

Tested on PHP 5.2.0RC3-dev (cli) (built: Aug 30 2006 20:21:41) under
Apache 2.2.0/Windows and it is still an issue.
