From: peter@600ml.com.au Operating system: Linux PHP version: 4.2.1 PHP Bug Type: Reproducible crash Bug description: eregi function causes apache to crash that page Use the eregi function on any php page running apache on linux and php version 4.21. Sorry I cant be more specific about the set-up. My knowledge of linux is limited and I didnt set-up the machine. It does run "Plesk" which is a gui server adminstration thingy. Apache will spit out the following error: "FATAL: emalloc(): Unable to allocate -193592 bytes" The page returned will contain no data. Internet explorer 6 will say "Page cannot be displayed". Netscape 4.* will say "page contains no data". Netscape 6 will do nothing. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18399&edit=1 -- Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18399&r=globals
