From: adamhooper@videotron.ca Operating system: Windows 2000 PHP version: 4.2.1 PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: Contradiction about print() being used as a variable function http://php.net/echo says: "It is not possible to use echo() in a variable function context, but you can use print() instead." This isn't true, as I found with a simple script. And if it were, http://www.php.net/manual/en/functions.variable-functions.php says it isn't so there's a bug there instead. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18438&edit=1 -- Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=18438&r=globals
