From: Bill dot public at Eccles dot net Operating system: MacOS X 10.6 PHP version: 5.3.1 PHP Bug Type: GD related Bug description: GD relies on out-of-date libpng Description: ------------ Attempting to make PHP 5.3.1 using libpng 1.4.0 (which was released 1/3/2010, I think) reveals that GD relies on the deprecated, and now removed in v1.4.0, _png_check_sig in _php_gd_gdImageCreateFromPngCtx in gd_png.o. Reproduce code: --------------- No code necessary. configure/make/make install libpng 1.4.0, point PHP's configure at the library. Expected result: ---------------- Successful compile.
