From: miqrogroove at gmail dot com Operating system: Windows 2003 PHP version: 5.3.1 PHP Bug Type: *Configuration Issues Bug description: log_errors + display_errors = bogus timezone warning in response entity Description: ------------ There is a situation where PHP will display errors but never log them. It almost seems as though error logging is causing errors now? Is that the most useless kind of feedback message ever? Warning errors are causing errors omgah barbeque. Reproduce code: --------------- <?php ini_set('error_reporting', -1); ini_set('display_errors', 1); ini_set('log_errors', 1); trigger_error('Hello', E_USER_ERROR); ?> Expected result: ---------------- Fatal error: Hello in test.php on line 7 Actual result: -------------- Warning: trigger_error() [function.trigger-error]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for '-5.0/no DST' instead in test.php on line 7 Fatal error: Hello in test.php on line 7 -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=50839&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=trysnapshot52 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in SVN: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=needdocs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=php4 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=50839&r=mysqlcfg
