Req #51865 [NEW]: Make use of Apache httpd 2.2's mod_dbd connection pooling

From: Operating system: Any PHP version: 5.3.2 Package: *Database Functions Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description:Make use of Apache httpd 2.2's mod_dbd connection pooling Description: ------------ Due to the fact that PHP doesn't really have pooled DB connections, or at least doesn't seem to be able to handle them: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=46740 I was wondering if it would be possible to implement connection pooling using the apr_dbd API as provided by httpd, which can be configured via httpd.conf with mod_dbd.
