We are now 2 years down the road ... PHP 6 is ... well, you know.

From my understanding, a ton of code was ported from the PHP 6 branch to
the 5.4 
branch ... can you guys please revisit this and add gzdecode?

I am aware that gzdecode() is to be implemented in PHP 6. Please
consider implementing it in 5.3

It is a very useful function when uncompressing data returned from ReST
call made to servers that use zlib.output_compression to compress
output.
