Configure Command => './configure' '--prefix=/custom/php-5.3.3' '--with- mysqli=mysqlnd' '--with-pdo-mysql=mysqlnd' Like I said mysqli_poll works fine just mysqli::poll doesn't, so there's something wrong with the mysqli class.
