This bug has been fixed in SVN.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change

I have tryed both with same result. Manually editing the Makefile helps
- i got 
succesful build. I have replaced $(CL) with $(CL1) and CL= with CL1=

It works here, do you use the SDK 7.1 or VS2010 console?
