All present filesystem functions in PHP when working with Windows Unicode filenames work incorrectly, as they don't support handling Windows Unicode filenames encoding. A new extension or modification of the existing PHP filesystem functions is needed to handle operations with files with Unicode filenames used in Windows, by using the respective "W" versions of Windows API functions.
