When I write : <?php echo '<pre>' . var_dump($var) . '</pre>'; ?> PHP show the same result as : <?php echo var_dump($var) . '<pre></pre>'; ?> There is a solution (show below), but it is not practical <?php echo '<pre>'; echo var_dump($var) . '</pre>'; ?> Test script: --------------- <?php echo '<pre>' . var_dump($var) .
