You can control behavior with custome session save handler (session
data is expired) or shutdown function (register_shutdown_function).

Most of other languages have functionality that allows for the user to
specify an action that will be performed when the program exit. I
don't seem to find this type functionlity in PHP. Especially when
session times out.
This type of feature should allow user to submit one or more actions to
be performed on the destruction of session either as timeout or as an
explicit destroy.
This type of feature would be very useful when interacting with
external application engines.
