I added a patch that adds a new ini directive called
spl.autoload_extensions to 
populate spl_autoload_extensions() from php.ini

Description:
------------
I expected the default value, which is now '.inc,.php', of
spl_autoload_extensions() to be configurable in php.ini, just like the
include_path.
