 New Comment:

Little typo in the description. The problem is not that "is_writeable(...) always returns
false", but that "is_readable(...) always returns false".

Description:
------------
I'm using a software to mount a FTP as a windows hard drive through SSH
(http://dokan-dev.net/en/). It kind of like using fuse on linux, but for Windows.

The problem is that is_writeable('E:\mulated\Drive\folder') always returns false, although
I can use readdir('E:\mulated\Drive\folder') to list file/folder, and
file_get/put_contents() to read/write on files.

It's not really serious once you know it, but it's really annoying when using third-party
library that refuse to works on these paths.

Test script:
---------------
<?php
// First mount any FTP via DokanSSH FS as a Windows Drive,
// and assign it to the E: letter.
// Create a folder E:\test, and a file E:\test\file.txt

echo file_get_contents('E:\test\file.txt'); //Works.

var_dump(is_readable('E:\test\file.txt')); // bool(false)

Expected result:
----------------
is_readable('E:\test\file.txt') should return true, as the file is readable, since
file_get_contents('E:\test\file.txt') return the actual content of the file.

Actual result:
--------------
is_readable('E:\test\file.txt') returns false.
