 Type: Bug
 Package: LDAP related
 Operating System: linux
 PHP Version: 4.0.6

 New Comment:

But, when using a personal error_handler function, the warning is catched by this handler. This is
really annoying.

If you want to suppress error messages, either
set the error_reporting to the level you like
or use @ in front of the function of which errors
you don't want to output. Not a bug.

(This is how all php functions work..)

possible bug:

inside the ldap_bind, if the credentials are invalid, php issues a warning. I think it should JUST
return false. Is there a reasoning behind this?
