/e modifier in preg_replace is not available in PHP3.
Cf functions/pcre.c function _pcre_get_compiled_regex in PHP3 (3.0.18
and CVS) and
ext/pcre/php_pcre.c function pcre_get_compiled_regex in PHP4
(4.1.2 and CVS).
I think PHP4 Changelog should state it more clearly, and preg-replace
function should precise it too (cf example 2).
