for the record, it was merged in http://svn.php.net/viewvc?
view=revision&revision=318902 so it is only fixed for 5.4 and trunk.
as the development of 5.3.9 only started, there is a chance that this will be
merged there also.

This bug has been fixed in SVN.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
