According to valgrind the code appears to trigger errors inside openssl, I
suspect the memory corruptions caused by it is what is causing PHP to crash in
Apache environment.

Ubuntu Server 11.10
Using PHP 5.3.8 via Zend Server 5.5.0
Apache 2
OpenSSL 1.0.0e (installed default with 11.10 no other options exists...)
Getting Segmentation fault in apache.
Additional info:
Works on Ubuntu Desktop with openSSL 1.0.0e
Works via CLI
Only failing with curl on SSL requests.
No changes using different clippers
