Only testet with : PHP 4.2.2 and Apache 1.3.26 If found that it *ONLY* (for me at least) if I use the dir "C:\tmp". Not if changing to C:\temp and changing it to that dir i php.ini.. strange! Using the php.ini-dist! Change this: *php.ini* register_globals Off; [SESSIONS] session.save_path = /tmp session.cookie_path = / It Works for me now! Greets Mads Østerby Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-20 03:25:04] madsosterby@NOSPAMmail1.stofanet.dk Im tried with Windows 98, php4.06, php4.1, php4.2.1 and the added version php-dev-4.2.2. I still cant get the sessions - the are registered in my session dir - that I can see. My code works under php 4.x for linux - so .. must be the windows version of PHP. Values obatined from mySQL in one php script should be passed to the next one rather than re-reading the table. I am running PHP 4.2.1 with MySQL 3.23.49 on Win2k. Wyn. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-07-06 10:39:11] info@how2pc.de Yes, I get the same error on a Win2K-Server (PHP 4.0.6, MySQL 3.23). The problem started when turning off register_globals. May be its helpful to know, that variables are registered by the session_management but their value is not stored (tested by looking into the session file created): <--cut--> !s_UID|!s_UserInfo|!s_admin| <--cut--> I think its a bug... :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-12 08:56:19] herrylin@skl.com.tw I had the same problems when I working on win98, and OS/2, but both of the same version v4.2.1. Mine occured as below: --- form.html --- <html> <FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="getform.php"> <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="thename" SIZE="20"> <INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Submit"> </FORM> </html> --- getform.php --- <html> <?php echo "<hr>".$thename."end<hr>"; ?> </html> ============================= PHP failed to get the variable $thename. Both v4.2.1 under win98 ans os/2, I found the same problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
