This bug has been fixed in SVN.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at

It would be great if in addition to -b, there was a flag to daemonize. Granted, this is possible
with shell scripting, it seems that it's more appropriate if php-cgi supported this by itself.
Then it could truely be a standalone PHP FastCGI server.
The ugly shell version of daemonizing...
