ID: 14100 Updated by: sfox@php.net Reported By: ziip15@hotmail.com -Status: Open +Status: Closed Bug Type: *Directory/Filesystem functions Operating System: Windows 2000 PHP Version: 4.0.6 New Comment: PHP currently *recognises* filenames regardless of the character type, I can't replicate this at all. Strongly suggest you upgrade if you haven't already and re-open this if you still have that problem. Unicode filenames will be reported wrongly (ie as blobs and symbols) on any MS system prior to XP. That's an MS issue, not a PHP issue. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-11-18 20:32:07] ziip15@hotmail.com I have multiple files (.mp3) that have strange characters in them, and apparently, PHP doesn't recognize them as files. PHP totally skips them. Is there a plan to support Unicode? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=14100&edit=1
