From: jhise@distantworker.com Operating system: RH Linux 7.3 PHP version: 4.2.2 PHP Bug Type: Apache related Bug description: Oracle+Apache+PHP = Random Memory Dump Linux version 2.4.18-3 (bhcompile@daffy.perf.redhat.com) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)) #1 Thu Apr 18 07:37:53 EDT 2002 Apache 1.3.22 ----- I've had this problem for a while. I can't figure it out at all. I've set up PHP, Apache and Oracle Client 8.1.7. When I query the database and get no results, I get all kinds of garbage in the browser, including PHP code, non-printable characters, etc. However, I did recompile PHP as a standalone executable. If I run the same exact query through PHP that way, I have no problems. The only thing I've found online about this (and I think it's about this) is list on phpbuilder: http://www.phpbuilder.org/mail/php-developer-list/199903/0106.php?print_mode=1 Under the Oracle section (bug #56). This has happened on two Dell Rack servers and a compaq desktop. But I don't think it's hardware related.
