The "*ptr++" in parse_date.re:2099 results in the compilation warning:
/home/cjones/Desktop/php-5.5.0beta4/ext/date/lib/parse_date.c: In function

value computed is not used [-Wunused-value]
I guess the code should have been simply "fptr++".
