No, 'http://' is the protocol specification, and has nothing
to do with
the hostname.

Hi there!
During my work on a link system i noticed that gethostbyname($string)
fails, when $string contains an url with leading "http://" -
shouldn't
be there a small internal condition to prevent this failure?
