This can be closed out as bogus. I lost the @asm softlink in the include directory. Thanks for your help and questions. Are you able to build it if you disable ctype? (add --disable-ctype to your configure line) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-28 18:54:35] scott@i-ax.com no. 4.2.2 gives me the same error. even on a plain configure/make build. other messages in the bug database where death has occurred at similar places found that there was an issue with make.
