From: miqrogroove at hotmail dot com Operating system: All PHP version: 5.4.21 Package: *Regular Expressions Bug Type: Bug Bug description:Random ASCII Mode Behavior in PCRE Description: ------------ I'm working on a bug patch for WordPress. I am getting random results from the \s sequence in PCRE depending on which computer I use. Tried getting another opinion from PCRE, and so far the consensus is that it's some kind of PHP bug. See also http://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1412 These computers are not all running latest versions... if there is a version issue I'd like to know about that too. Test script: --------------- echo preg_match('/\s/', "\xA0"); Expected result: ---------------- 0 Actual result: -------------- Some computers say 0, some computers say 1. -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=66068&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.5): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=trysnapshot55 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=66068&r=mysqlcfg
