I had this error when I was passing in a value from a form which was a string. I
had to force the parameter to be an int using (int)$value and do this:
bindValue(":limit", $value, PDO::PARAM_INT);

Try PHP 5.2.9 & 5.3.0 - get the same exception.

I don't understand why this bug does not solved ? It's very important, and we don't
use PDO properly with this bug.
