#19238 [NEW]: Why must I define all variable
From: jfinander@hotmail.com
Operating system: Windows/Apache
PHP version: 4.2.1
PHP Bug Type: *Configuration Issues
Bug description: Why must I define all variable
In earlier versions of PHP there was no need to define a variable before
calling it ie.
if(!uname){
echo("Incorect");
}
Now all my old code doesn't work and I must replace it with
if(empty($uname)){
echo("incorrect");
}
I have tried turning the regiser_globals on and off in the .ini file as
well as the adding ~E_NOTICE to teh error line...
The only thing that works is using a previous .ini file.. but I need to
know WHY?
thanks
Jesse
