From: cameron at datashovel dot com Operating system: Linux Mint 17 PHP version: 5.6.3 Package: cURL related Bug Type: Bug Bug description:Pipelining support Description: ------------ It appears Pipelining support (though the CONSTANT exists) does not behave as the user would expect. Came across this issue here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24599720/how-to-send-php-curl-handles-through-a-single-tcp-socket-using-http-pipelining Did some testing of my own, got same results as the person who submitted above StackOverflow question. Looked a bit further and found this: http://curl.haxx.se/mail/lib-2014-06/0219.html Looked in source code for the curl extension and did not see any evidence that the named CONSTANTS are available in the PHP implementation. Test script: --------------- The stackoverflow question points to the following test script: https://github.com/anovikov1984/pipelining-example/blob/master/pipeline.php Expected result: ---------------- netstat feedback should show that only 1 connection (or up to some MAX#) was made during the curl_multi_* session netstat -t -u -c Actual result: -------------- based on the script provided, the netstat feedback shows 3 connections were made during the curl_multi_* session. -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=68449&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.5): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=trysnapshot55 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=68449&r=mysqlcfg
