PDO + PDO_ODBC seems to have a similar issue, only it seems to experience a fatal error when it runs
into long column names. I have tried the solution of changing the field name buffer from 32 to 256
in the odbc_result_value typedef struct, and everything has been working fine with all of the
databases I've tried it against.

As PDO gains more and more traction that's probably the best idea

You could try PDO + PDO_ODBC as an alternative.

As stated in a private email, the biggest issue with such a change is how much it effects other
databases beyond those that you have used. It's a simple change, but it's unknown what
databases will fail with this.

It's been over a year since my original submission, and I was wondering if it would be at all
possible for someone to implement an increase in the field name buffer from 32 to 256?
Only one line needs to be changed to accomplish this,
in ext\odbc\php_odbc_includes.h:
line 217: char name[32]; -> char name[256];
If it is at all possible for someone to make this minor modification for me, I would be extremely
grateful!
