Operating system: Debian Woody/Linux 2.4.18
PHP version: 4.2.3
PHP Bug Type: MySQL related
Bug description: Can't connect to MySQL server (/tmp/mysql.sock)
Although it works fine in PHP 4.2.2, the upgrade to 4.2.3 seems to have
broken the ./configure script, so that it can no longer identify the
correct location of the mysql.sock file.
The script guesses it as /tmp/mysql.sock, but it is
/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock on my system (and as I say, 4.2.2 gets this
correct)
