JSON data and other PHP data representation should/better have exactly the same value. I'm not
sure if it is possible with mentioned de-facto standard, though.

It's not a engine issue, but I suppose it's better category than JSON related.

I haven't actually tested this but looking into the code (php_gcvt) make me convinced that this
feature is missing.
