The problem here is that the query might get bigger than it has to be. According to the RFC 1738 document mentioned in the manual these characters don't have to be encoded: > Thus, only alphanumerics, the special characters "$-_.+!*'(),", and > reserved characters used for their reserved purposes may be used > unencoded within a URL.
