SQL injection attacks are obviously no longer a problem so yeah, doesn't make sense to
implement this.

No one considered this as potential feature since 2011, time to close the ticket.

This is a great function. Could you add a MySQL variant?

It might be easier to pass the params as normal params instead of as an array.
