From: bouvrette dot nicolas at gmail dot com Operating system: All PHP version: 5.6.31 Package: *General Issues Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description:Cannot use ini_set in a flexible manner enough with FrontControllers Description: ------------ When using a single FrontController for a site, it's impossible to leverage .htaccess and/or Apache's vhost to overwrite certain ini_set values. A good example would be upload_max_filesize but there are many others? Having a FrontController give a lot of flexibility when it comes to dynamic routes and localisation and is becoming more popular with large PHP framework like Symfony and Zend. Test script: --------------- See https://serverfault.com/questions/857961/php-value-overrides-with-apache-using-a-front-controller for full details. Expected result: ---------------- ini_set should be more flexible and allow more overwrites, especially to help with performance when using FrontControllers. -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=74882&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.5): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=trysnapshot55 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74882&r=mysqlcfg
