If the latest CVS snapshot works, then this is not an

I have only one question: WHY do you run buildconf with
release sources? It's not necessary..

I should also note that ./buildconf *does* work in HEAD (barring the
hiccup with an empty case statement in config.status:1472; see
http://bugs.php.net/?id=15959), and I can even run make
test, so this
problem got fixed after the branch.

(make test result isn't quite satisfactory, will post to php-qa@)
